Jeff Cason Designs helped Mooresville, NC celebrate their rich history of auto racing with a high-octane immersive exhibit “Race City: The Origins of Speed.”

Mooresville was looking for a novel way to celebrate their legacy as Race City USA—the national hub for auto racing—as part of their sesquicentennial year. They presented a motorsports festival honoring racing legends Roger Penske and Edsel Ford II, and needed a stunning signature event that matched the energy of the sport. That’s when they reached out to Jeff Cason Designs.

Our team developed a 15-minute immersive show that told the story of auto racing in North Carolina from its bootlegging roots to modern track racing. The show featured 3,000 square feet of projected animations that surrounded guests with the story, and included synchronized lighting, surround sound, and original music and narration.
