Project Summary
Jeff Cason Designs partnered with Bank of America Performing Arts Center and Bell Event Productions to create a nighttime spectacular celebrating the venue’s 25th anniversary.
Featuring original music, narration, projected animation, and architectural lighting, the show transformed the theater façade into a living tribute to the artists, performances, and unforgettable moments that shaped the venue’s first quarter century.
The Challenge
Celebrate 25 years of artistic history in a way that felt worthy of the venue’s legacy while remaining engaging for a broad public audience.
The show needed to honor the many disciplines that had appeared on the BAPAC stage—including dance, symphony, musical theatre, comedy, and live music—without feeling like a simple retrospective or collection of archival highlights.
Creative Approach
The theater itself became the canvas for the celebration.
Original projected animations brought the façade to life while music, narration, and synchronized lighting guided the audience through the venue’s history. Rather than presenting each art form separately, the show wove them together into one cohesive journey that reflected the range, energy, and cultural impact of the performing arts center.
The result was a cinematic anniversary experience that honored the past while creating a new signature moment for the venue and its community.
